markets and such

Attempted to go to my favorite japanese market yesterday only to discover it was ruined by the hurricane and most probably will not re-open. It’s strange this recovering from the hurricane six months later thing. The rate of homelessness has risen and it’s whole families living in their cars, living in tents, living in the few assisted living programs the State has had to generate. Driving around the city yesterday on the “west si-eeed” made me realize although some progress to rebuild has been made there is still much that is in need. It’s going to take a while, five to six years is what’s been projected for us to get back to where we were before “Ivan.” Hard to fathom that really. On the upswing, I ventured to a new asian market soon to become my new favorite.
